Rev counter dodgy

Hi guys. On my Micra sr I've found the rev counter does it's own thing. It will bounce around going up and down randomly when I'm accelerating lol. Any ideas?

How is it wired?

When I did a ****ty job to the dizzy it did that.

I've had that when the car was misfiring but that was a rev counter wired to a seperate coil... should be a supply from the ecu. Check the ecu plug is in all the way and the plug connection on the clocks I guess

Well it's a sr so should be standard wired.

change the rotor arm, i had that problem, F-----G annoying, i fitted a 5hitty after market rotor arm and done that, so i change it back to original and stopped doing jumping also i fitted an after market dizzy cap and again it caused that , so original nissan parts in that department is important!!

The what? Is that that distributor which has ht leads coming out if it?
