Respraying a scratch

A mate slightly scraped against a guys car (his rear side panel) and the scratch isn't deep, roughly about 2inches long.

He's saying he got a quote for it £240+

Is that reasonable or is he taking the ####? sorry don't know much about these things so wondering if people could give us a few pointers.

Depends what panel the scratch is on, and if it'l rub out or needs respraying

thing is you cant just paint a two inch scratch. I think they would try and polish it out if its only that small. otherwise the whole panel would need done then flashed either backwards or forwads to lose colour. so 200 - 250 would be about right
