Replacing The Airpan? K10 Help! please

Hey Guys am thinking of replacing the entire airpan cos the strutbrace i have wont fit and besides that i want to tinker with things and finally clean up this engine bay :grinning: i just need to know what goes where and what will i need to do to do this i have an oil breather filter already need to know what pipes go where and what to do with that sensor like thing on top of the intake part?

replacing it with what? you will have to be carefull as the super s has egr fitted to it and that has parts associated with it on the air pan. if your removing the airpan might be worthwhile removing the egr also.

ok i would be replacing it with an Aftermarket induction kit thingy lol
what is an egr.? should of said I'm A Noob! :grinning:

It's the exhaust gas recirculation system, i think it's something to do with reducing emissions. All the extra pipes and stuff which you don't get on the standard MA engine basically.

It is easily removed i believe theres a guide for it somewhere

yeah i have noticed all these extras and it confuses the hell out of me instead of a summer/ winter switch it has an automatic version? just wanted to see how other people have done it on a super s, if they have cos i wanna get cracking on the engine bay this "summer" if weather allows me, need to shed some rust off of the poor thing :blush:
