Replacement key for Japanese import

I am looking for a replacement key for a 2008 Nissan March (Micra from Japan) that only came with one keyless fob with a small key included.

My question is whether a standard UK Micra K12 key can be cut and coded to work with this, for example the K12 keys on sale here

The guy who runs the ebay store does not know if they will work.

If you buy a blank key, contact a local locksmith who will be able to cut the new key for you cheaply. Then go to a Nissan dealer who will code it for you, I've just had mine done for about £37 Nissan have something on at the minute for cars over a certain age get a big discount on labour.
