my 93 slx had a seat base that pivoted forward to let the backrest fold down flat where as my 98 slx had a fixed seat base which were pushed into plastic clips on the chassis.

my two micra's were different in that my 95 slx went flat, like mentioned earlier, but my 96 slx won't (the bottom part of the seat cannot be flipped forward)

Correct,There is a difference between Series 1 seats and series 2 seats, at least as far as the SLX, not sure about LX and Super S.

i think this was asked before...but how can u tell if its series 1 or 2?

series 2 has plastic moulding on the sills of the doors not sure about locating point variation of rear seats... I can check when I get home (I have both...the project car is a series 1)

just removed the rear seats today on a lx 95...and what i discovered is the rear seats for slx wont fit lx model...
