Rear passenger door locked can't open?

Hi my rear passenger door is locked shut I can't open it from inside or out I think I will need to remove the door trim to try and release it but can only do this with the door shut as I can't open it? Any suggestions as to how this can be done and how I actually remove the trim itself

Hi just to let you know I have managed to remove door trim there is a cable that has become disconnected that has a knuckle/ball on the end but can't see where it should go? Don't fancy removing the door handle but may have to to get at the mechanism can anyone tell me how this is done?
