Rear door removal.

Guys I'm looking to remove the rear driver side door and replace it with a new one (dreaded rust)
In between the two hinges I can see what I can only describe as a copper/brass like arm that feeds into the door.,Connected to the car with a pin....how do I remove the pin. ..I'm guessing hammer it up and out from the bottom..?
Can anyone give me steps to removing a rear door without f#$#$in it up.

A few taps with a hammer upwards and its out, remember to remove everything else before the hinges
