With MOT due in 4 weeks time decided it was time to give the K11 a service. Found the rear brake cylinders were leaking and 1 piston was seized. I put some masking tape on the shoes to protect them.
Next was to unbolt from the backplate 2 x 8mm bolts and remove the link pipe 11mm. The union on the cylinder itself just rounded off luckily the Flexi end undone fine. A gentle tap with a mallet helped removal.
Fitted the new cylinder on with a new link pipe and bled.
The link pipe were from eBay, just need a little tweek to fit. Definitely need to purchase these when replacing the cylinders.
All fitted in no time. Next was the service. No pics as been done many times on here by other members.
Air, oil, pollen, fuel filters again a set from eBay for around £16.
Engine oil I used Castrol GTX Ultraclean 10W40 from Halfords for around £24.
Didn't change the spark plugs this time as replaced last time.
Car has only done 20,000 miles from new.
Just a new set of tyres now as the old ones are perishing.
