Rattle/squeak from rear

Has anyone had a squeaky rattlle from the rear of a K11 V reg. Micra? This is an intermittent fault which comes and goes mysteriously. I've checked suspension & bushes, tailgate lock and hinges, rear parcel shelf, rear wiper - all to no avail. The noise sounds like metal-metal contact somewhere.

Any suggestions as to what is causing this problem?

either heat shoilding around the exhaust or the metal plate on the front of the boot lid

but others can exist i think

Maybe the seat doesnt lock all the way in?

I had that and my rear dampers where dry and squeaking

Try spraying wd40 on the shafts and see if it behaves

If it is that they are only cheap from breakers yard

imho, the more you remove from the vehicle, the worse the rattling gets! have taken out 78.63Kg and the rattles are just intolerable!

Sounds like the load sensing valve spring to me.
Its on the passenger side next to the fuel tank.

Push the spring up and grease the plastic valve seat, then pull it down and do the same.

I've had to do it on so many Micras I now do it anytime I'm working underneath a K11.

Make sure the spring springs back into the plastic mountings and dont try and cheat by sticking a load of grease in the spring without lifting it.
