Rattle on start up

Rattles on start up for a few seconds?
Could this be the timing chain till the tensioner gets oil pressure?
Any suggestions on ho to fix it?

same thing in mine thats normal, oil pressure needs to build up to get everywhere.

B. Pickup pipe needs cleaning
C. New oil pump
D. Timing chain tension

aye, top chain usually, tho there is a ratchet mechanism inside that should hold its tension

My 1.0 rattled away for a few seconds.... it blowed itself up

Does it rattle, make a clunking noise or any sorts when the engine is warm, particularly on the left side?

mine rattles like a good one till the oil light goes out normally when cold after i thrashed it the night before, i heard that its cos people don't use genuine Nissan oil filters as they hold the oil better?

hmm... not good, the cars done 76k. it dont use oil, anything to look out for? or check, it is quite loud...

Mine does the same, my old one the starter i think used to make a dodgey noise, this one i think the tentioners well and truly been used, maybe take a video?
