I have a 1996 Nissan Micra SR. For years the LCDisplay on the radio has looked odd - letters & numbers broken up. But the radio tuned okay and I generally left it on one station so it wasn't a problem. I recently replaced the battery. I understood the radio would say 'code' when I switched it on again and I would have to input the security code to reactivate it. But it doesn't say anything - a single hyphen appears in the middle of the screen and that's all. I've tried inputting the code anyway but it has no effect.
