Racing Nissan Micra?

That's a race built March which was imported over from New Zealand by Ray Gimbert a few years back, was sold earlier in the year, (for much less than it's initial asking price I might add), and was recently on eBay but didn't sell. It was built from a factory shell as one of 3 cars built for a group of rich investors in Japan in the mid 90's.

It's not road legal, (has no handbrake, is mapped on race fuel and doesn't have a chassis number or log book), and although it's in very good condition it would need a fair bit of money sinking into it to bring it fully up to scratch.

A trailer queen basically and will only sell to an enthusiast looking for something purely for the track.

Similar spec to this one http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t5PGAyRl0vk

I always wondered about this car, thinks it's awesome!!

How would you go about getting log book chassis numbers?

Remove from another White one being scrapped and inform dvla?

That's called ringing and it's illegal.

You can simply apply to the DVLA for a chasis number and they will issue one but..... Getting it registered for the road is not just a matter of having a chassis number. It depends on whether they would accept it as a Nissan Micra and register it under the Micra's type approval or if they would consider it to be a one-off and require it to go through an IVA test. In either case you would have to prove where all the parts came from - this is quite strictly applied nowadays to prevent people from using stolen cars/parts.
