My gearbox damaged cos of dry and noisy. I am going to replace another gearbox today

So I am going to buy this gear oil

How many litres can go into gearbox?

Lol it says 2.7 but if its a cg13 gearbox fill until it starts to come out where your filling it and if its a cg10 you need to fill from the speedo drive which has a level indicator on that

Oil should be 80/90

Yes mine is 1.0 l so it's got code on my gearbox which is cg10

So I should buy 80/90

In castrol gear oil, Its hard to find 80/90

I used 15W/40 engine oil in my box some months ago, filled right to the top, oops.

It's leaking pretty bad by the diff so I'm not bothered.

My final decision is castrol 75/90. Is that ok guys? I want my Micra to use only castrol oil form nowadays

Anything rated to API GL4 will be fine Paul. It's GL5 you want to avoid due to synchro ring corrosion.
