Good Morning,
My wife has been given a K12 Micra, however there is a problem as the start motors keep burning out.
We have been told that the ignition is faulty (sticking) and there is a constant live feed keeping the starter motor engaged. The AA suggested a push start button with relay (now purchased) to effectively break the live feed.
I am having trouble installing the button and would like some help please.
The Ignition switch on the K12 has the following large wires in the block connector to the rear of the ignition.
Red, Blue, White, Brown and Yellow.
The relay contains wiring as follows: -
Black - To be earth to the bodywork (self explanatory).
Blue - Terminal 15 (ign) - behind ignition switch.
Blue 2 - Terminal 50 (Power path that passes through ign).
Red - Terminal 15 (The power path that passes through the ignition).
Can you help me with which wire on the K12 corresponds to the wires on the push start button.
Thank you
Paul
