PS light

The PS light has appeared on our 2004 K12 1.2 Micra S.......... a simple 'restart' seems to cure this and power steering works fine for the duration of the trip

IS this the dreaded Electric Power Steering Motor fault requiring $$$$$$ spent? Or could this be cured in a simple way?

Any advise much appreciated......

Based in North London if there's any recommended repair routes cheaper than a Nissan Main Dealer

Hi, We've just had the following on my Wifes Micra, the light came on a couple of times over a weekend, turned the car off then on again and it seemed ok. A couple of months passed and then last week I went to move it from the drive and the light came on and is now on permanently. I'm trying to find out info but I'm having dificulty. Would be handy to share any info.

I'm looking to get my mechanic brother to strip the PS motor down but it would be handy to know how to clear the fault code, I've got an OBDII scanner but the fault doesn't register on it.

Well... after months of troubles, the car is still not right. The choice was made to use a refurbished unit from a 'specialist' who advertises on Ebay....... But currently the steering wheel sits off centre, the car pulls to the left, and worse still the steering 'feel' alters of it's own accord (firm to loose to firm to loose) at speed on cornering

Not a happy Micra owner at present
