Primera SRi 1.6L Engine

The mechanic I know (specialises in jap cars) mentioned to me over the phone that the 1.6 engine is a fairly easy conversion for the k11 (he's apparently done one before?! I've never seen one myself!).

Anyway, does anyone know if any tuning parts are easily available? If such a project went ahead, I also mentioned to him that it might be worth turboing the setup, but what options are available for this? What manifold, etc is available, or are none?

I would have thought the 1.6 is a good compromise between the 1.3 and 2L, with minimal weight.

Otherwise, I guess the 2L is the best option...?

iirc there was never a 1.6 sri primera, they did a si 1.6.
anyway. people who've got 1.6 k11's love em. standard bhp is around the 100 mark. but the engines are quite heavy cos i think the GA series have cast iron blocks, but i may be wrong.
should be good though if you can get it done cheap ish.

ga16 is heavier than the sr20 iirc.

theres stuff for the enigne from america, hotshots stuff i think. i think there is a turbo kit from the same people who make it for the cg13

The GA16 is heavier than the SR20 so you may aswell just do the SR20

insurance is cheaper on a ga16, unless your planning not to tell them...for tax and mot reasons.
