power steering advice please

hi folks, I have picked up my winter runaround today, an 02 S for £225 MOT'D to march, all seems sound apart from a bit of a screech from PAS on full lock, any advice on what this means or I should be looking for thanks

Probably the drive belt. You could be lucky and get away with a few turns on the tensioner. At worst a new belt. Not too hard especially if you get the front drivers side wheel up on a ramp, one or two plastic dirt sheilds to remove
