Power assisted steering

Hi guys a quicky for you if thats ok.

The PAS seems to be topsy turvy on the micra. A Mondeo I had about 10 years ago had variable power that was maximum power assistance when stationary but decreased with speed to minimal at higher speeds which seems ideal to me.

The micra seems to have no Power assistance untill the car is in motion - then it seems too easily turned at speed. Strangely (for me) it works works even when idling and free wheeling or pushing the car.

Does this sound correct?

Sounds like the micra you bought doesn't have power steering!

Power steering should be operating anytime the motor is running.

EEK - OMG I have now had a good looksee and can't find a pas system erm... move along now nothing to see here.

Seller said it was pas!
