Potentiometer / idle / Throttle body

Hi, I'm trying to understand the throttle body and its various adjustments.. in particular the potentiometer plug (the black plug held by 2 screws) on the throttle body... I can see it is adjustable if you loosen the screws, but what exactly does it adjust ? anything to do with idle ? fuel consumtion ? Tx. Manu

do you have the haynes manual?

you need a multimeter and the haynes to adjust it,

It sets the resistance for idle and full open throttle,
