Possible problem with TB?

I have a 96 K11 SR which has been giving me some "problems" over the past few weeks, this being one of them.

I'm getting a very high pitch sucking noise when the engine is turning over. It's coming from the air filter (K&N 57i ) but i'm worried it could be something else.

My main reason for asking is that my other K11 (a 1ltr) never did this at such a high pitch level.

Any ideas?

have you checked for holes?

i checked for holes on the filter, could there be holes on the TB?

No - its just the K&N doing its job. Is the car actually giving you problems?

no problems, just wondered why theres more "white noise" on my CG13DE than on my CG10DE - although i supose the 1.3 needs more air just is drawing more in..... :S

Just solved your own problem.

i got more noise just by putting 1.3 cams in my 1.0 :/

mah, just some times noise worries me when i'm driving....


does any one else get the "put radio on mute and sit there listening for the rattle u thought you heard?" syndrom?

very occasionally, im quite used to my cars rattles, got a door rattle when accelarting n braking, and a whirring between 1-2k rpm lol.
