my nuts are alright 
I'll see if I have a flare spanner to grip the hydraulic fittings better without rounding off. suppose I should grab the whole hydraulics system off andys micra just incase.
yea my earlier non-pas also used a smaller spline than the newer pas rack.
maybe the M14 bolts were too short?
doesn't sound too bad of a challenge, I'll of course keep u posted
