Depends what you mean when you say tight. My Stilo ST4W is very snug but it's brand new and still to be used. Given that they slacken off a little with time I always look for a slightly tighter fit when new, than one that's immediately comfortable to wear.
When I come to use it I prep the helmet by using a football shoved inside, inflate it with a track pump to give it a bit of a squeeze. I find it helps to simulate some wear...
