polished Heat Shield

Has anyone had their heat shield in their engine bay cleaned/polished? Theres a company not too far from me that does it and was thinking about getting it done.

nOOb question...is it easy to remove and replace the heat shield?

AFAIK it's just a couple of bolts holding it on..

yeah just a couple of bolts! bolts maybe rusted though

depending how much the place is going to charge you, it may be cheaper to get a polishing bit and some polish for a drill, and do it yourself..

or you could sand it back and paint it with VHT paint?

Just found out the guy that supplied my stainless intake pipe does polishing etc so will get a 2nd heat shield from scrappy and get him to do it
