playing with the waxstat screw

how does the idle during start up respond when:

1."screwing in" the small allen/hex screw on top of the waxstat?

2. Screwing out...

also, I noticed the waxtat is no longer moving at all start up or Hot...so I put oil it's shaft...levered it with a flat screw driver, I was able to move it up about half a cm...will it damage the waxstat?

waxstat shouldn't move when its cold, but will slowing move as the engine warms up and heat the wax. If you can move it when its cold, it may be broken.

I just removed mine completely cos they're unreliable, and let the IAV do the same job

out to increse rev, in to drop rev. idle can also be adjusted via bleed valve behind the tps.
