Pedal stopper...is it needed?

When i stripped the 'ol gal out last weekend i came across a black plastic block underneath the accelerator pedal. Is this fitted from factory on all K11 models or only some?

Will removing it stretch the cable? Can i remove it and still be safe?

Heres a photo:

no prob removing it, just don't stab hard the pedal once at WOT. the throttle cable should be adjusted such that by the time the TB flap is WOT the pedals should just barely reach the stopper or any obstruction. if the cable's too loose and the pedal can touch the stopper ur not allow the TB to fully open, reducing the available power capacity. the cable should have zero tension when the pedals at rest so the TB is allowed to fully close.

Wide Open Throttle

IMHO it should almost touch the plastic stopper so that you can utilize the full range of the TB movement
