Odd rumbling/vibration when braking?

Right, odd thing's been happening recently.

When ever I brake strongly from higher speeds, I can feel my far side front wheel sort of rumbling or vibrating quite a lot. It only seems to happen going down hill though.

I've had a look at the pads, and the disc, and they seem fine, the tyre has plenty of tread and it never happens at low speed or on flat/up hill.

Has anyone else had anything sort of like this?

Do the brakes feel spongy at all? Try bleeding them if they do

Not really. They feel normal. Fluid looks all fine, but i guess that's no indication of air in the system, but I'm doing a service next month, so I'll bleed them then.

it could be the discs, not warped exactly but not a uniform thickness all around, you could try a swop left to right, or get someone to gently hold the brake on while you spin the wheel and feel for a tight spot eh
