O2 sensors...cleanable?

This must be affecting gas mileage of my unit, can I just take it out and wire brush it?

or is it Throwable/disposable/can't do anything with it unless replaced???

just use go contact cleaner (electrical contact cleaner) or T/B clean would be fine too. you can also test it by heating it up with a lighter then measure voltage.... btw they about $100 new

To be honest I would not touch it with anything, they self heat as a cleaning method, and are not designed to be cleaned with anything, when contaminated or worn out they really are just designed to be replaced.

Keep in mind they are actually a highly generic item, they rob you blind by putting a different plug and wire length on every single car out there, you can actually just buy a very generic replacement often for less than $50, as long as you don't mind splicing wires.
