Number Plate Light holder totally rusted....

Hi everyone,
My K12's number plate light holder has totally rusted up that the metal contacts broke and therefore it no longer has any connection between the bulb and the wires....
Question is, must i purchase an original part? from where? can i buy a generic part for cheaper? does anyone have one for sale?
