My girlfriend recently purchased a 2005 1.4 Micra.
The fans work fine but theres a really annoying loud noise on all fan settings which gets louder as the fans are turned up.
Our local garage cleaned out all the leafs and debris but this didnt make any difference and they seemed to think it may be the blower fan or something wrapped around it thats causing the problem. They have suggested taking it to Nissan to inspect further and said it would be a really big job as steering column and dash need to be removed.
Is anyone able to confirm that this is the case? I was under the impression that it wasnt that difficult to get to the blower and possible removing glovebox would do the job, but then again I dont know much about cars in general!
Any advice on cost of replacement blower and time to do the job would be great.
