I am finally parting with my Pao after 10 years of regular driving, in the hope that it will end up with some one who has the time and the experience to get another 10 years out of it.
Has been used regularly for last 10 years and is MOT'd thro till February 2018. Has had a new stainless steel Rad and exhaust, windscreen, steering rack was refurbished a couple of years ago. All original spec. dash clock, mats, satchels etc. 152K KM on clock and has run fine till recently.
Sadly the cassette player no longer works.
The bodywork isn't perfect, had some welding to sills a couple of years ago, quite a few rust spots and a couple of dents in rear, otherwise fine.
Last year it had a problem with cutting out at idle, which was eventually traced to a failed seal on the fuel pump which was allowing oil into the fuel system. That was fixed and ran fine for another six months before coming back. This time the mechanic had to admit that he doesn't know enough about carbs to fix it. He cleaned it up and it's running better than ever... apart from the fact that it stalls every other time you come to a halt!
It may be that there is still oil in the tank, it does seem to run better with a full tank of fresh gas. But I've come to realise that I no longer have the time to tinker with it.
So £1000 for a great little car in need of some attention....I have tried to price at a level that is below others that are currently available on ebay etc, in the hope that will go to someone here who has the enthusiasm to sort it out and get some enjoyment out of it.
Car is in Manchester and buyer will have to arrange transport,
