Nissan Micra K14 Nismo

Hey guys,

So like the title reads, I've been thinking of remapping, chipping, and adding a couple of mods to my Micra K14 Tekna 2017 (Diesel) for a while now, but I'm pretty limited by what I can and can not do to the car by where I live (Spain has some seriously ridiculous modding and tuning restrictions), but for now I know I'm going to remap and chip it at least, and thought of maybe adding some Nismo styling to the car, even though such a thing doesn't exist, it would make me happy, but I'd like to gear your guys' thoughts on it.

i've also thought about making some modifications on my K14 Tekna. I also live in Spain too and i`m with you that all the restritions we have about modification our cars are ridiculous. I like yours ideas, and i think you`re on the right way.

I have started by modifying things that do not need approval like the doors sills. LED kit and Rear badge Illuminated are good options to start with.

I going to share some pics about i did with my K14 and i´ll leave the link in amazon of what I bought.

Hey @AlexisDisla1 !

Nice to see another Español on the forum! I like what you've done with the door sills, quite practical too! Even though I'm not a huge fan of carbon fibre myself, I've seen some illuminated versions that I think could be quite cool.

I've also looked into getting stuff official approved (homologado) and it seems you can do quite a lot, but it can get quite expensive, and depending on where your taking your car for it's MOT (ITV), they can reject it even if you've passed it with you mods before (gotta love the system).

Anyways, I got my first package with some of the things off the list yesterday, and got to work, so here are some pics, sorry about the quality, I took them in a bit of a rush...


First of all the rear Nismo badge: 8/10 quality and easy application, made of metal sticks to the car with decent 3M tape (provided), looks good and matches the silver tone of the original MICRA badge.

Nismo mirror rain protectors: 4/10 looks a bit silly to be honest, with a faux carbon fibre look, made of reaaaally flexible rubber/silicone, functional, but maybe wouldn't recommend, plus the adhesive is a bit rubbish, but still hasn't fallen off yet.

Nismo tow tag: on it's own, it looks amazing, the quality is excellent, but kind of hard to place on the front of the car since the tow hook isn't exposed and the tow rod provided for the car sticks out to much to put it where it should go, so it gets a 9/10 (I just love it!).

And the Pièce de résistance, the Nismo side vinyl: now I've got to say, my positioning isn't the best, kindof when over the rear door, so I might redo it, the quality isn't excellent and I'm kind of worried what will happen when I wash my car, but looks pretty cool, and the install was pretty easy, only took me about 20 minutes per side all on my own, so it gets a 7/10.

I also got some tire valve caps that say Nismo, but don't have any pictures, 10/10, all metal, and perfect fit, and also got a front Nismo badge that screws onto the grill, but it's too big for the K14's tiny space next to the rather large Nissan logo, so I'll be looking for a replacement soon.

Let me know what you guys think, what else you might add or change to the car as a whole.


PS: no I'm not deleting the rear windscreen wiper, I was just replacing the wiper and forgot to put it back on in time for the pics!
