Hello,
Recently my Micra died - it's a K12 (1.2 from 2006 I think). I think I have discovered the problem: one of the fuses in the fusible fuselink has corroded.
To clarify I am talking about the part that attaches to the positive terminal of the battery, it has 4 (what I assume are) visible fuse wires enclosed in a transparent plastic cover. My mechanical knowledge is limited so forgive the lack of correct terminology!
I took the cover off and see one of these wires is broken / corroded (green powder around it). I understand it is now a matter of getting a new part and I would but from what I can see on ebay the amps for the 4 fuses is 80A 100A 100A 100A while on mine (going from left to right as you look at the part from the back), the amps go: 80 60 80 80.
Does the difference in amps matter, would parts be damaged using a new part wih higher amps?
Thanks,
Keith
