Whenever i put the car into drive, the car will sometimes stall and shut off, just like a manual transmission. It will also sit in one gear most of the time when starting from cold, and then only shift once the engine is warm. The MAF sensor has already been disconnected because it barely drives when it is connected. I really don’t know what the problem here is. Any help?

When was the last time you changed the transmission fluid?
It could also be the CVT itself something snapped perhaps? any strange noises?
And have you started it and left it idle for atleast 10 min or 20? then put it in drive?
Or get a new MAF sensor? is that easy to replace? i've not looked at mine yet.
