» CMF MemberHey guys, since i havnt posted any pics of my car i thought it would be time to show you guys
When i first got it, it was bone stock besides some 5 spoke 14" wheels. Within a week, i had purchased some 14" black 5 spoke wheels with a polished lip. Unfortunately i dont have a pic with them on but then i sold them to another fellow member on here
The next set of wheels was some 13x6 Cheviot 'Jellybeans' with retreaded tyres so i was on a hunt for some tyres. Took me ages to source them but i finally found a set of 205/60/13s.
The first mods that i did was cutting up the front grill to have the open mouth look. Got that painted with the closest spray can i could find from supercheap. I also fitted a shortshifter, which feels great. Then i fitted some cut springs which i had received for free. Tried them on, had the perfect height but i couldnt find a way of making them stay in place (back then), so i had to remove them again. Heres two pics of it:
The next mod i bought was a bosskit and a deepdish steering wheel as i didnt really like the look of the stock wheel lol
After fitting it, i felt that the steering wheel was too close to me, so i had to find a replacement (which took awhile to find a decent one)
Next thing i did was get the front bumpers and rear bumpers colour coded, rear wiper deleted, and resprayed the front grill to the original colour. This was all done my myself, ive painted a few cars in the past so yeah
Also, i hit up the wreckers to find a few parts. I grabbed myself a front lip and rear lip and other few bits and pieces that i used for the car like the engine bonnet sound deadening/heat thingo, door pockets seen on super S', raised centre console seen on super S'..oh and i finally got myself a genuine momo wheel and horn button:
I then fitted some short front shocks and springs, it gave a drop of 14cms which was damn awesome!
The front stance was awesome, but my 205/60s are too wide so i had to sell up the front shocks and springs..wish i couldve fitted them..
I also flared the front guards to compensate for the wheels, and rolled and semi-flared my rear guards. Again done by myself with a proper guard roller
Then fitted a HKS pod filter, mini air filter and sprayed my rocker cover orange. And i fitted the jdm rear bubble lights..
And finally, as everyone knows..the K11 stocks seats sit so damn high so i had to get it replaced with something lower. So recently i fitted my new (used) front seats which sit heaps lower than stock. I had to get used to driving the car again, it was like a whole new car lol..also you can see my centre console, steering wheel and door cards.
Also fitted an AutoGauge tachometer as the LX didnt have one, blackened out the spare front headlights, also welded on a HKS exhaust tip my dad got from overseas..
I know the height is an issue, but i have coilovers coming in from overseas so that will be fixed soon. But yeah thats about it for my daily. You could probably spot my other car in one of the photos haha..
C&C are welcome.
Thanks for looking,
Nick
