New user, questions about the mammy's car

Hi new to this forum,my names Chris and i am from Scotland, i am a member off other forums such as hiluxsurf.co.uk, scottishmudclub.com and difflock, Basically i have a 4x4 and go play in the mud. Anyway, im trying to sus out a problem on my mums 2005 SE Auto 1.3. I dunno how makes and models work on here i.e K11 K12 etc, There seems to be an occasional burning smell from under the bonnet sometimes a little smoke, could be like a heat smoke. Anyway she says his only happens when she is in reverse or in park, which says to me that its only cos ur stationary that u notice it. She says it smells like burning rubber, but hey ho that smell could be anything. Any help would be great, thanks Chris (Y)

I've just had a similar problem with mine, Oil was slightly leaking from the oil filter onto the exhaust manifold, this was picked up at service.

a similar thing might happen on a clutch that is on its way out, usually in car parks while reversing etc
