New to Micra's and to the site

Hi all

Just bought my first K11 1.0s on an X plate.:greenfl::greenfl:

I thought it would be a decent vehicle for my daughter:girly::girly: to get some road experience in as she's just passed her test.
It's going into our local garage in the morning for a check over before it's used in anger.
Apart from a squealy belt it's got a loud resonance coming from the back of the engine area:frown: that sounds like a loose heat shield.
Hopefully should be all sorted for tomorrow evening though!

Broken heat shields are common above the cat. If it is one rattling, best to find it and just rip it out. There not necessary

Collected from the garage this afternoon, problem solved, car checked over, total cost 5 quid!(Y)

Yeah

fastened down the heat shield, it's amazing what can be done with a jubilee clip!

However there's a grumbly bearing on a pulley wheel, but it's not in imminent danger of collapse as there's no play in it.

So it will live to fight for another day or until I can be bothered to replace it, which will probably happen anyway!

you say its your first k11 micra?
has it got the rev counter in the dials,,as the older micra s models had sr green rev dials

There's no tacho on the dials but they are a green colour when lit up!

The car itself is in marine green.

It wasn't my first choice in colours but if kept clean it looks quite well!
