New owner -de icing + E10

Hi I am a new owner and this is my first car since passing my test in December. I have to say I’m overwhelmed by all the information in the manual. I have noone to help so need to learn all this. I have figured how to get the serial number from radio from here, then a YouTube video. It looks straightforward. I’m going to do it tomorrow. Also need to set the clock.
One thing what is best way to de ice the car? I’m a bit confused by the manual.
Have to say she’s an old bird but I love her already. Glad u found this site, it’s been so helpful reading all the posts.
P.s tomorrow I will fill her up first time. I understand E10 will be ok?

Omdays I opened a little box above the cup holder and the radio card was in there. I’ve never been so happy haha. Radio now working altho only gets radio 2 others are fuzzy.

De-icing, car running, heater to max hot, vent controls to windscreen only, fan 3 or 4 (max fan isn't always the best, a slower airflow will pick up more heat as it has time to warm).
Outside, scrape off all the ice.

Then sit and shiver while the car clears the screen.

Thanks, that’s really helpful. ..reading manuals again today -and making a lot more sense. It’s a lot to take in for a brand new driver lol.
