New owner....but need valuation!

Just today have 'inherited' a Micra from a grandparent who's decided to give up driving. She's not charged us anything for the car and I was pleasantly surprised at the good condition when I collected it earlier. But thinking about insurance, what should I say is the value?

L-Reg, 1995
1.3 SLX Auto Five Door
23,000 miles (soooo low!)
Power Steering
Sunroof
Electric Windows
Central Locking

Few 'old person' scuffs that I am hoping Chips Away will sort out this week.

Anyone care to hazard a guess at a rough value?

Don't go over £500, it'll cost more to insure and they'll only pay you what they think it's worth anyway. I always said £250 for my micras.

Cheers for that. Was thinking around the £400 mark, so glad I was close.

Now have to stop myself looking further into alloys! Will double the value of the car.

Remember, if you do write it off, that's all they are likely to give you for it, its prob worth more like 750 I would say if its in good nick.
