hi guys, i've been looking through the threads and i'm still a little confused. i'm hoping to drop a 1.6 in to my k11 micra. i've been told that the ga16de lump will fit straight on to my existing gearbox as its a 1.3. on the threads it says you need to shorten your drive shafts. if i use my existing gearbox i wont need to do this. can i also use the existing loom and plug in the 1.6 ecu.
my micra is an import model with quite a good spec
5dr
front elec windows
elec mirrors
central locking
pas
air con
it even has a rev counter.

Hello there and welcome to the club, is your micra a japanese import brought into the uk ? if so then its a march, from what you describe of the spec I would say a G# model, as for the engine swap there has been hundreds of threads on this, if you use the search function you will find all the info you could need, but a 2.0l is a better conversion as it has more power, is much lighter than the 1.6l and is the same physical size.
