Need help re-putting back in the drive shaft into the gearbox

As the title says, i need help re-putting back in the drive shaft into the gearbox. I've done a clutch change and im putting the car back together but the drive shaft wont go in far enough into the gear box. I have taken the suspention and the sway bars off to help get leaverage but it still doesnt want to sit in their properly.

Any tip to help aline it and re put it back in?

hopefully the bevel gear has,nt slipped down lewist, can you see a spline down the hole ?

make sure the circlip at the end of the spline isn't bent n still round and held concentric to the shaft with afew dab of grease
