Need help fog light fitting!!

I'm fitting my fog lights following chops tut and I have swapped the stem for the fog stem and my head lights and side lights don't work on it I swapped it back and they work fine does this happen while I'm wiring up the light (will they work once I've finished?) or what is wrong??? Please help my cars in bits

Have you got the relay in the engine bay for them?

I got the relay in the 5th relay slot above the fuses... These worked the other day and now they arnt...

Sorry I misunderstood, the stalk that you have is it the right one for your year?

I took it off chops car and his is a 99 mine is a 2000 light I said the lights worked last weekend

So you swapped the stalks and all lights worked

Main, side and driving lights, then for no reason the driving lights stopped working?

My guess would be fuse has blown, relay has blown or a bad earth

But they work on my Normal stalk just not the one with the front fog switch but they did before.....

If your headlights are still working but your driving lights aren't then it'll be either a blown fuse or relay or a bad earth

Ok thanks ill see if it helps. But if the relay or fuse is blown the lights shouldn't work with either light stalk.????

Are you're headlights working with both stalks?

No just the original stalk.

Then there's your answer its the new stalk

facelift wont work with prefacelift stalk ,,,,,,,,at least the wiper arm wont when i tried,

Can't seem to find a fog stalk from anything newer than 1999???
