I bought my 06 micra 2 weeks ago & a week after I bought it I took it back to the dealer as the power steering light had come on. 
The garage have now said it needs a new steering column. Apparently this is a fault on these cars & the steering columns break after about 40000 miles.
Luckily it is covered by warranty, but there is a backlog on the parts. I had my car for a week, it's now been gone for a week & will probably be gone for at least another week
I was so excited when I bought it & now feel deflated. I just want my car back.
and just to rub salt in the wound, the courtesy car they've given me is a horrible Citreon c1fwn
