Modification chip

I was screening E-Bay from overseas sellers and saw an item called a modification chip claiming to improve fuel consumption as well increasing power through better acceleration. Has anyone fitted one of these and if so did it work?

they were featured on autospeed.....and it works but you can do it your self, its only a .50 cents resistor
