Micra GearBox

Hi guys, been absent for a while, im in need of a gearbox for a K11 1.0L.
It seems to be jerky in gear change and slightly whiny????

Any ideas?

Does depend on the year of your K11,

Pre 98 and post 98 have different gearboxes on the K11 1.0l

Its a L reg, Its been loyal so i think i may do a engine swap later on.
For now i just have to locate a gearbox and clutch. If not i may end up selling it on.

Right then, you will require a pre-facelift 1litre gearbox.

You can go up to a 1997 1 litre micra, make sure it is a 1 litre though as the 1.3 box will differ, having a different clutch and drive shafts.

you could always go for a 1.3 swap with new gearbox at the same time.

No, i would much rather have the primera SR20. Oh and a short shifter!

Yer but a 1.3 is a straight swap and would take about a day

How do i check the gearbox oil on the K11? Theres no dip stick. Did i mention its manual?

Correct, located at the back of the gearbox,

I took the car to work today, and the gearbox is not whining, Barely noticable as standard? however i suspect a dodgy clutch release bearing as it is a bit sticky coming out of gears. What do you think????
its had a clutch change recently.

Yup its confirmed im now in need of a micra gearbox, anyone got one local to birmingham? Prices? havent checked the scrappy yet.
