Hi, I’m new to the forum and I was hoping for some advice regarding the micra I have just bought.
I will start with the fact it’s a terrible example of a micra, it has been bought as part of a car challenge for a friends stag do and will hopefully get as far as seeing a little track time.
anyway yesterday I picked up the car and during the drive home (5miles) the power steering drive belt disintegrated sending belt shards everywhere, some of those have wrapped around the back of the crank pulley, I had stopped to see what the hell had happened and finished the rest of the drive home, on getting home I have found oil sprayed over the engine bay which appears to be coming from around the crank pulley.
in any of your experience have you found a shredded belt to damage a front crank seal? As checking the engine I cant find another source that side of the engine?
any advice would be greatly appreciated
