Micra C+C roof creak

We have recently part ex our 2003 Micra K12 4 door for a 2007 Micra C+C. Chuffed with it but roof rattle (creak) in boot when roof is open. Roof is solid when folded and nothing blatantly obvious. I would definitely say it is a creak rather than rattle. All ok when roof closed and no issues whatsoever. Would replacing the round rubber stops on the inside of the boot lid make a difference? Tried driving with boot partially open and sound still there so I know it’s not the boot lid and more coming from the folded roof. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Regards Russ.

It may help to look for any rubber edges with obvious wear/abrasion and apply some silicone spray lube. The sliding doors on my van do this as soon as the rubber is a teeny bit dirty and won't stop until sprayed

the roof sits on a couple of different points in the boot along with the linkages taking some of the strain from the panel above. have you greased all the linkages? then as above it's worth a blast of silicone on all the rubber seats and seals around the boot lid to rejuvanate them. there is some adjustment in the seats but I'd be tempted to leave well alone on adjustment until you've cleaned everything up.
