MIcra C+C intermitant starting problem

Hi, this is my first time writing, I have a Micra C+C which is my pride and joy. Recently it has started having an intermittent starting problem. You turn the key and all the dash lights come on as normal but no power to the starter. The next time you try it starts no problem. It has been at a garage for a week but whenever they try it starts as expected and therefore can not identify the problem. Any suggestions on what we could try would be most appreciated.

Did you sort this out? I would say its the ignition barrel. I might have one i can post you.

Hi, thanks for the offer, we did end up taking it to a Nissan garage, they replaced the barrel and it is going better but still not completely confident in it, thanks for the offer.
