The Maf is self -cleaning.
Do not touch the hotwire at all. Do not use compressed air.
The quickest & cheapest test for MAF suspected issues is to
simply unplug it & test drive to check if the misfire/ kangarooing issues are reduced.
Every time engine ign is switched off the ECU software controls heat up the MAF sensor to burn off any contamination automaticly.
Cheap & or worn out disintegrating air filters can shed paper particles that can rarely form whiskers on the MAF hot wire transducer sensor. Inspection with plus 3x magnifying glasses rqd.
