Ma10 block ma12 head

Now i know Theres plenty of threads on here about 'which is stronger' i've read through all of them but they dont go into detail about the bottom ends, so i was wondering, what are the differences in the bottom end of an ma10 compared with an ma12. i'm planning on putting the ma12 head (ECC head) on the ma10 bottom end, would this be a waste of time or is there any benfit from using the ma10 bottom end, the ma10 bottom i'll be using will be rebuilt with new piston rings.

the bottom end of the 2 enginer are similar but obviously not the same, for instance they have a different bore
