LPG

Is it worth it? I could be moving with in the next couple of months and my daily commute will be going from 6 miles a day to around 50, so I need to save money any way I can and with petrol prices getting higher and higher I can't really afford to spend a stupid amount on it.

Does anyone (frank) know what sort of mpg I'd get from LPG compared to a diesel (a diesel is my last resort)?

its about 72p at the main stations atm karl (probably 65ish at the discount outlets) which is quite a saving, but petrol and gas are sold in litres which means you get less energy from gas (kg would be more equal)
so the running costs will be about 2/3 rds, (minus the cost of the installation eh)

It's the cost of installation that's putting me off, I know it'll pay for itself within a couple of years but it's a fair whack to payout straight away

and apparently some insurance companies aren't a fan of LPG either
